Greetings lapping day fans,
We know it's been a while and we hope you've missed us. We definitely miss you!
If you are reading this, at one point or another you were signed up to the DIG Track Day mailing list.
We know we've been quiet this year. Due to an untimely track closure late last season, our events at Dunnville have been canceled indefinitely. We have been looking for alternative arrangements but so far have not found anything that we like.
I'm sure many of you have heard the news that a new track is scheduled to be opened in the Simcoe area, by the name of Edenvale Autodrome. The latest update on Edenvale is that a permanent land use arrangement has not yet been reached at that location, which means that although there is a track there and it is being used - the track infrastructure is, in our opinion, not suitable for recreational lapping. At least for now.
If any of the above changes, you will be the first to know.
In the meantime, we are pleased to announce our collaboration with Douglas Ford in Barrie on a special lapping day at the Mosport GP Track
If you've ever dreamed of experiencing the thrill of Mosport in a laid back and friendly atmosphere, this is the day for you!
We are working with our friends at Douglas to organize a day that is safe, fun, and educational - which is what we strive for at every DIG track event.
Location: Mosport GP aka "big track"
Date: Wednesday, September 22
Time: 9am to 5pm
Cost: $300
First timers to the big track will be taken for a ride along with an experienced professional driver to familiarize themselves with the course and the rules.
Passing will be in designated zones only and these rules will be STRICTLY ENFORCED.
The format is open with a limit to the number of cars on track at any given time.
The Douglas team will serve snacks at no charge alongside water, pop and coffee.
